Privacy Policy for Water Log
Effective Date: August 27, 2026
Water Log ("Water Log," "the app") is developed and operated by Stefanik Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We respect your privacy and designed Water Log to collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the app.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Water Log.
Water and Hydration Data
Water Log allows you to record and track your water intake and related hydration information.
Your Water Log data is stored on your device and may be synchronized between your Apple devices using Apple's private iCloud services. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and is not accessible to Stefanik Software LLC.
We do not operate user accounts or maintain a server containing your Water Log records.
Apple Health and HealthKit
Water Log integrates with Apple Health through HealthKit. With your permission, Water Log may read and write water intake data from or to Apple Health.
Access to HealthKit is optional and requires your explicit permission. You can change or revoke Water Log's access to HealthKit at any time through the Health app or your device's privacy settings.
HealthKit data is used only to provide Water Log's hydration tracking features. Stefanik Software LLC does not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and does not sell HealthKit data.
Water Log does not share your HealthKit data with advertising platforms or data brokers.
Analytics
Water Log uses analytics services to help us understand how the app is used and improve its features, performance, and usability.
These services may collect information such as:
App interactions and feature usage
App version
Device type
Operating system version
General technical and diagnostic information
Anonymous or pseudonymous device or installation identifiers
Water Log uses analytics services provided by Apple and Google Firebase.
We do not intentionally send your water intake records or HealthKit data to analytics services.
Crash Reporting and Diagnostics
Water Log uses crash reporting and diagnostic services, including Firebase Crashlytics, to identify crashes, errors, and performance problems.
Crash reports may contain technical information such as the app version, device model, operating system version, crash stack traces, diagnostic information, and installation identifiers.
We use this information solely to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Water Log.
We do not intentionally include your water intake records or HealthKit data in crash reports.
Advertising and Tracking
Water Log does not display third-party advertising.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your Water Log or HealthKit data for advertising, and we do not use your activity in Water Log to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.
Notifications
Water Log may send local notifications, such as reminders to drink water or log your water intake.
You control whether Water Log can send notifications and can change notification permissions at any time in your device's Settings.
Purchases
Water Log may offer in-app purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Stefanik Software LLC does not receive or store your full payment card or other payment credentials. Apple may provide us with information necessary to determine the status of purchases and access to purchased features.
Apple's handling of purchase and payment information is governed by Apple's own privacy policies.
iCloud
If iCloud synchronization is enabled, Water Log may use Apple's iCloud services to synchronize app data between your devices.
Data stored in your private iCloud account is managed through Apple's services and is subject to Apple's security and privacy practices. Stefanik Software LLC does not have access to data stored in your private iCloud database.
You can manage your iCloud data and iCloud settings through your Apple device and Apple account settings.
Third-Party Services
Water Log relies on services provided by third parties, including:
Apple, for iCloud, HealthKit, App Store purchases, and certain analytics and diagnostic services
Google Firebase, for analytics and crash reporting
These providers may process limited technical or diagnostic information as necessary to provide their services. Their handling of information is also governed by their respective privacy policies.
We require third-party services that process information on our behalf to provide protections consistent with applicable privacy requirements.
Data Retention and Deletion
Water Log data stored locally remains on your device until you delete the data or remove the app.
Data synchronized through iCloud is retained according to your iCloud account and Apple's data management practices. You may delete Water Log data from your devices and manage data associated with iCloud through Apple's services.
HealthKit data is managed through Apple Health. You can view or delete HealthKit data and change Water Log's HealthKit permissions through the Health app.
Analytics and crash-reporting information may be retained by Apple or Google according to their respective retention policies.
Because Water Log does not require an account and Stefanik Software LLC does not maintain a server containing your personal Water Log records, we generally do not have access to your hydration records and cannot retrieve or delete those records on your behalf.
If you have questions about deletion of other information associated with Water Log, you may contact us at the address below.
Your Choices
You can control Water Log's access to HealthKit and notifications through your device settings. You can also stop using Water Log and delete locally stored app data by deleting the app.
Where applicable, you may contact us to ask questions about information processed through our analytics or diagnostic services.
Children's Privacy
Water Log is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in a manner inconsistent with applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information associated with Water Log. Water Log is designed so that your hydration records remain under your control on your device, in your private iCloud account, and, when you choose to use HealthKit, within Apple's HealthKit system.
However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Water Log, the services we use, or applicable legal requirements.
When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Continued use of Water Log after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by applicable law.
